I’m honestly still trying to wrap my head around this. Being featured in Firehouse Magazine isn’t just an honor—it’s something I used to daydream about when I was a kid who didn’t know if he’d ever make it this far.
This job has a way of breaking you down, testing you, and forcing you to face parts of yourself most people never see. There were moments I didn’t think I’d make it—moments where the fire inside me felt like it was going out for good.
So to be here now… to have my story, my struggles, and my message shared on a platform like this—it’s humbling in a way that’s hard to put into words. This isn’t just about recognition. It’s about being heard. It’s about every firefighter, every first responder, every person who’s ever felt like they were fighting battles no one else could see.
If my story reaches even one person who’s in that dark place and reminds them they’re not alone, then every scar, every setback, every hard moment was worth it.
I’m beyond grateful. Truly.
